Maya - Christians

Christians

By Maya Angelou
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean livin''
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Pretty is as Pretty does... But beautiful is just plain beautiful!

Some Surprises

What is going on with my child? I do believe it is the terrible twos! She is such a little drama queen now and terribly whiny. Oh and the potty training is at a stand still. I have almost decided to just wait until summer. She is showing some signs of getting closer to it. She now will strip off her pants and pull-up/diaper and just bring it to me. That is how I found her in her crib this morning. P.J. pants around ankles and sopping wet diaper in hand. I have big ideas for us during this week of Spring Break. We will plant flowers, paint Mollie's toenails for the first time, visit Gran, cook (more me than her), clean out closets (more me and my mom than Mollie), go to a park, perhaps get pix made, and some surprises (I just couldn't think of anything else to type and I loved when kids said 'and some surprises' on the local t.v. station while sitting in Santa's lap). I digress! Tomorrow I will have my fam over for soup and salad. Exciting! How come I can never find a stamp to save my life, but Mollie will find everyone we have in the house, call them stickers and place them all over herself?
